Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex
The Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex encompasses the metropolitan divisions of Dallas–Plano–Irving and Fort Worth–Arlington. According to the U.S. Census 2000, the metropolitan area had a population of 5.1 million (though a July 1, 2005 estimate placed the population at 5.8 million).
